This Shaolin Soccer spinoff produced by Stephen Chow was widely panned on it's release. I couldn't find a single positive review of this film. However, as long as you don't take things seriously, it's enjoyable way to waste 90 minutes of your time. The lead actress Kou Shibasaki is easy on the eyes and martial arts sequences including the final "Game of Death" are not too bad. The PQ on this Taiwan Pony Blu-ray is sharp and excellent. There is a touch of yellow tint which is likely how this was shot. It's now on sale for $249 NTD which is ~ $10 US.
