@mowaw
I like the price but hate the date...
Amazon have a double pack of Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time for only $17.99 pre-order (less minus VAT).
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004AFUJFM/
Release is now 28 March 2011
Play.com now lists a release date of 11th October 2010.
Any twitters from Jerome about this?
OK, I just saw SUMMER WARS at the Imagine (aka. Amsterdam Fantastic Film) Festival and it rocked seven shades of brilliant.
The first hour felt squirmingly familiar to me as I too was introduced through my girlfriend (now my wife) to a family which to my surprise turned out to be very rich, very influential, fiercely hierarchical and quite judgemental.
But during the second hour when the "Oz War" is fought in earnest I had sweaty palms all the way through. This is just a brilliant piece of entertainment and definitely amongst the best films I've seen all year.
Bring on a BluRay. Any BluRay, as long as it's good and features English subs so I can show it to other people...
Manga UK, please make this one equal the quality of your "GitS:Innocence" Bluray. If you do, I'll pimp the disc on all websites. Deal?
I hope we get this in Region A too.
I think Manga only releases stuff with a dub I can't think of them ever releasing anything without one.
@Chris
I think so, @MangaUK mentioned a dub in their last tweet:
Talking bout a September theatrical release if we are lucky. Hoping for Oct or Nov DVD/BD release. Need a dub first!
-> twitter.com
is there any chance that this title will have english dub? i really hope so and keep my fingers crossed!!!
Manga Entertainment UK has stated that they will give this title a limited theatrical release in September 2010, followed by a DVD and BluRay later that year.
