It is region free. However the lack of Japanese angle credits ruin it for me. I don't want to read Shia Labeouf's name over the beautiful opening titles. Too bad the UK release (and Laputa, and probably all future Ghibli Blu-rays from Optimum) is ruined by filtering out the grain.
So does DVD-Beaver, actually.
Which may be good news for people in region C, but nobody in region-B will buy this, I hope? The Optimum has the commentary that the Disney misses, and a few other extras as well.
Oddly enough, Blu-ray.com have this listed as region-free.

It's a great cover. Shame it's ruined with the Americanized cast covering the artwork.
I find Shia Labouf unacceptable in any way, shape, or form. Owning this disc would be a source of personal shame.
