Spot,
Well, the last thing I can say is if you BD35k is Region A, it will not output 50hz period (even if it does output the audio and subs). Only US players that can output 50hz are the Oppo BDP-83 or the LG BH200. If you BD35k is Region B or modded to be Free, then it would be the tv or some other problem (disc related maybe). Hope you have better luck on your PC.

I didn't try it yet. See I understand that with the extras but I've never seen it with the film part.

Spot,
My only assumption about that is like PAL extras (where you can hear the audio but not see video), that it is accepting the subtitle stream and audio stream, but not the video stream. Thus you can hear the audio and see the subtitles, but not see the picture.

I also have a BD-Rom in my PC. I'll try it again when I get home. But if my TV of player doesn't except it, why am I seeing the subtitles.

Spot,
If you are talking about Taegukgi being 1080i, it was 1080i/60hz, not 1080i/50hz. To play 1080i/50hz, you need a BR Player that can output 1080i/50hz and a Television/Projector capable of playing back that refresh rate.

That's strange, especially with the subtitles being displayed. Did you check the discs in any other players?

I use the Panasonic BD35k. I should be able to play movies encoded in 1080/50 cause I believe the Korean releases by Korea were the same encode and they worked fine on the same player.

@SpotInHD
According to ahsoka (see region code source link) the complete film is encoded in 1080/50. What kind of BD player do you use?

Just like how some extras dont work on Region A players, this title doesn't work on mine for the movie part. I hear the audio and even see the subtitles but no pictures. I dont get it.
