This has long been one of my favourite films so i was really pleased to see it get a blu ray release. The picture quality is very good throughout but this release has been spoilt by the film being in a 1:78.1 aspect ratio and not the correct 15.1 aspect ratio it should have been! The result is you lose picture information on all 4 sides. The audio is so bad that it begs the question did anyone actualy try listening to it through a 7.1 surround set up before releasing it?! Its mastered way too loud! The music belts out of all speakers all the time meaning dialogue and even gun shots are drowned by the music. It ruined the film as all the ambience was destroyed in a wall of sound. I got my old dvd out and it sounded the way it should. Unless some sort of recall was issued on this disc i dont know about, then the sound engineer should be fired! Superb film ruined!

Always been a film i enjoyed so i was looking forward to this blu ray. Its locked to region A but i use a multi region player anyway. For once kam and ronson have done a good job on the picture! It looks very good compared to the vast majority of there other releases. Colours are consistent throughout. Less pleasing is the picture framing which looks off to my eyes as it crops picture information on all 4 sides. It states 1.78:1 aspect ratio on the box and i am pretty sure the original dvd was the correct 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The sound is a disaster and begs the question do they even bother playing these back on a 7.1 system before selling them?! The music is so LOUD at all times that it drowns out dialogue and even gun shots! I was worn out from the constant assault of the score. It spoilt the film as it killed all the ambience. The sound in general was mastered way too loud and i was constantly turning down the volume. A great film but not all it could have been on this disc which is a shame.
