Ok, here's a mini-review for this one.
Picture Quality:
Disastrous. There's no other word for it.
The transfer is reasonably sharp and shows much more fine detail than its DVD counterpart, but it suffers from a heavy case of noise removal.
The whole film looks like an oil painting. Not as bad as Once Upon a Time in China, but definitely unpleasant.
Also, there are 4 flickering white dots at the bottom edge of the transfer (that can only bee seen if you have zero overscan). Not a huge problem, but still annoying.
Sound Quality:
No particular problems on any of the tracks. Dialogue, music and foley effects are very clear.
Foley effects are never really in sync, but they're always pretty close. Dialogue is constantly out of sync, but that's because most of the main actors are dubbed.
Subtitles:
Understandable, but pretty poor. Full of spelling and grammatical errors.
If I had to guess, I'd say they're lifted straight from the DVD.
Region coding:
The disc works without problems on my Region B Panasonic BD-60 player.
Verdict:
Not really worth upgrading if you've already got the DVD.
The Blu-Ray has more fine detail, but the DVD looks more film-like.
