Yes, it appears to be a new disc. Did a BDInfo scan on my copy and got a different disc size, 21 891 957 228 bytes.

That's very strange. I'm sure my disc is locked to region B. AnyDVD HD reports that it is indeed B, and my back cover also says that it's region B only. So there's probably different pressings with different region locks (region free and region B).

I checked and my disc is region free. I don't think they've changed the disc
for the single disc release. Intros, menu and the movie itself is 1080i/25fps (PAL) though.
On closer inspection I see that the cover here says it's the 2-disc limited edition. Mine is the regular single disc release.
I wonder if it might be the case that the limited edition is region free while the regular edition is not.
I bought the disc and it's actually locked to region B unfortunately.
