I knew something was off when I heard Classic Media was releasing Gojira on Blu. Japan gets the first Blu release. Granted, only four days before Classic Media's, but the world now makes sense again
.
My choice, if I could pick either the Classic Media release and this Toho release, would be the Toho one for one reason: I know there's little chance for several of the other Gojira films to come on Blu here, so I'm going for the Japanese releases. I rather have a Gojira that fit with the other films rather than one that is different from the others just for subtitles. Since I plan on buying several other Japanese films that won't have subtitles, one more isn't going to kill me.
I guess the point is moot, however, since I would rather wait for the collection set and get them all in one fell swoop. I'm just saying I would pick Toho. (might get G vs. Bio, just to see Big G smash cities in 1080p).
