Bandai Entertainment announces Sword of the Stanger US release
Bandai Entertainment has finally announced its long promised US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Studio BONES anime Sword of the Stranger (Mukoh Hadan)...well, at least they posted the highly official cover art over at the Anime on DVD forum. There's no release date mentioned, but word is that we can all look forward to June for some high resolution samurai action.
Hopefully Bandai Entertainment will use the transfer from Honneamise's impressive Japanese BD release and only add English subtitles (and an English dub for those who don't like reading) without messing it up like their latest Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence release where they left out all the good HD audio tracks.
I'll add the release to the guide once a release date gets announced.
Update: Bandai just announced that Sword of the Stranger will see a US release on June 16, 2009.
