Warner Japan to release Goemon in October

AV Watch reports today that Warner Home Entertainment Japan will release Kazuaki Kiriya's CG overkill Goemon on Blu-ray Disc on October 9th 2009. Goemon will be available in a standard edition with one BD and a limited "Ultimate Box" that includes an bonus BD and a storyboard artbook in a nice golden box.

There's no word of English subtitles and I wouldn't hold my breath that they'll be included. At least the German and French fans of Goemon can look forward as Splendid Film acquired the distribution rights for Germany during the European Film Market in February while TF1 Video will release Goemon on Blu-ray Disc in November. I guess Warner will take care of the rest of the world themselves, let's hope this won't take too long.
