Ponyo US Blu-ray Disc in October?

The always well informed GhibliWiki reports that, according the the August issue of the Preview retailer magazine, Hayao Miyazaki's Ponyo will get an early home video release in the US.
The list states that Ponyo will be released on Blu-ray Disc, and DVD as a standard and a special edition on October 28th:

While these early release dates would be great, I'm a bit sceptical about them as Studio Ghibli was quoted in the past that their films will be released on Blu-ray Disc in Japan first before they're available in the rest of the world and release date for the Japanese Ponyo Blu-ray Disc still is December 2009. The list also doesn't mention if the mentioned dates really are the public release dates or rather just some retailer relevant dates.
