I've just received my copy a couple of hours ago, I still haven't watched it but I'm already surprised by the extremely high quality the screenshots display, we can clearly see Ghibly Quality here, and it's not sarcasm.

And about the next release, I don't really know why, but I'm quite sure it'l be, as you wish for, Laputa (As we all suspect it's by chronological order of original release). And I just can't wait to get my hands on Grave of the Fireflies >.<, I'm sure I'll cry like a fountain when I see it again xP.

From the caps, fortunately it looks like the grain from the film is still intact. I'd hate for the blurays to end up something like back in the day with the dvds. They started as progressive scan, then interlaced with some edge enhancement. I can't wait for the Laputa bluray.

I'd love to know whether or not the special features - like the audio commentaries, for example - are subtitled in English. If they are, I think I could justify paying Japan's higher BD price for such a lovely package.
