Pray for A Better Tomorrow in August

While the 2010 South Korean remake is already available in high definition for some time now, Kam & Ronson finally decided to release all three parts of John Woo and Tsui Hark's HK classic A Better Tomorrow series on Blu-ray Disc. All three films will be released in Hong Kong on August 5th and will probably be locked to Region A.
I really hope K&M will use better material for these films than they did for their Police Story and Once Upon A Time in China releases, but knowing K&M they probably won't or can't...

I can confirm that the discs are locked to Region A! On the other side, it is an euphemism to say they look alright! So if you can't play the Blu-rays, you really don't miss much!
The Blu-Ray's are locked to region A.The Japanese releases as well as the Hongkong K&R releases.
Can anyone confirm the region coding?
Guaranteed upscale. The Japanese Paramount releases are out and are upscales. The Japanese Paramount releases of K&M movies are always identical to the HK releases, just with Japanese subs instead of Chinese and English.
I own the japanese releases of the ABT Trilogy from Paramount. The also used the Fortune Star Masters.
I can say that the films look pretty good, not perfect, but still look good on HD.The sound in dts-HD 7.1 is fine too.
I guess the K&R BD releases will look and sound the same only with english subs compared to the japanese releases.
Considering the korean discs are upscales and their upscale history I know I'll keep my cash.
